Wow!! What an amazing week!!J
I was immensely privileged to be invited by The Prince’s Trust, to work with 10 young girls between the ages of 16-25 on a project entitled ‘ Dreams’. Consequently, I wrote and recorded a song entitled, ‘ Dream.’ Whereby, I taught 5 of the girls the song so they could perform it alongside myself for none other than HRH Prince Charles and 200 plus invited guests at Turf Moor Football Club in Burnley J The remaining 5 girls was taught a dance sequence to my song, by Dance choreographer, Saira Bruce, from Talent Theatre School.
The course ran from Monday 1st February through to Friday 5th February, and it was on Friday 5th February that the show took place at Turf Moor, Burnley. The aim of the project was to develop new skills, increase the confidence of the young girls, and aid with motivation. I and the girls who participated in the project had a lot of fun and many beautiful friendships were formed throughout the week.
Meeting HRH Prince Charles was truly an honour. He was lovely to me and engaged well with all the girls on The Dreams project, whereby they all did the curtsey to greet him- which they had been practising repeatedlyJ ! I was equally delighted that he thoroughly enjoyed my song, ‘ Dream’ and he thanked me gracefully for the gift of my album, ‘Beautifully Unexpected,’ which I gave him. I look extremely forward to continue to work with The Prince’s Trust, who do wonderful work by working very hard, towards helping to change the lives of young people. Dreams are there to be achieved and everyone needs support and encouragement. ‘Dreams’ is a fabulous project and it was a blessing to be a part of it.

Love&Peace
